Seized window locks and misted door glass
Recently, I was called to a job in Parkstone, Poole, where the property had two seized window locks, so the windows couldn’t be opened. The owners of the house also had a problem with misted door glass in their double glazed back door.
I discovered that two of the upstairs window locks had completely seized, meaning that to rectify the problem I first had to open the window/gain entry. I was then able to replace the broken locks with new window mechanisms.
The double glazed back door had misted door glass, so I fitted a new door double glazed unit thus rectifying the problem.
The old, misted door glass unit.
Upstairs window lock seized. Window won’t open.
Newly-fitted door double glazed unit.
Window lock mended. The bedroom window can now be opened.
