The Problem:
Leaking double glazed window Wimborne, Dorset
Today I was called to Wimborne to look at a problem with a double glazed window, which was leaking. After a torrential downpour rainwater had started flooding in through the window.
The problem became obvious: the window gasket had deteriorated over time and needed replacing. A gasket provides a mechanical seal filling the space between two objects, mostly to prevent leakage between the two objects.
The photo below shows the old gasket and the replacement one.
