The Task:

Draughty window repair, Poole

This customer, in Poole, had a draughty window. Upon inspection I discovered that the gap on the hinge side of the window was due to a failed hinge.

The solution was to fit a new pair of hinges, so that the window would shut properly without any draughts.

Georgian bar sealed unit with condensation – Hamworthy

Georgian bar sealed unit with condensation – Hamworthy

The Problem:

Gold, Georgian bar sealed unit with condensation inside

Last week I visited a customer in Hamworthy, whose gold Georgian bar sealed unit had condensation in the cavity.

It’s quite common, especially in the autumn when the temperature drops, for condensation to form on windows and patio doors. This might mean that the unit is no longer sealed.

This doesn’t mean that the whole UPVC window or door needs replacing. If your windows or doors are otherwise in good condition, we can simply replace the unit. This not only improves the appearance of your double glazing, but also the energy efficiency.

Check out the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos below.
