The Problem:

Siezed French doors

I had a customer in Saint Leonards, Dorset, who had seized French doors.

After I had gained entry and removed the lock mechanism I found a broken hook case. Now mended, the doors are working once again.

Failed gearbox on a conservatory French door

I was asked to fix a broken conservatory French door at a property in Bransgore, Hampshire.

Upon inspection, I discovered it had a failed gearbox, which prevented the door from being opened.

Seized window locks and misted door glass – Poole

Seized window locks and misted door glass – Poole

The Problem:

Seized window locks and misted door glass

Recently, I was called to a job in Parkstone, Poole, where the property had two seized window locks, so the windows couldn’t be opened. The owners of the house also had a problem with misted door glass in their double glazed back door.

I discovered that two of the upstairs window locks had completely seized, meaning that to rectify the problem I first had to open the window/gain entry. I was then able to replace the broken locks with new window mechanisms.

The double glazed back door had misted door glass, so I fitted a new door double glazed unit thus rectifying the problem.
